Ryan Tannehill Tops My List Of "Do Not Drafts" For The Eagles

Apparently, the idea of drafting Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill is picking up with some Eagles fans. I hate this idea. Tannehill reminds me of so many busts past: good athlete, good pro-day, moves up everyone's board, but when you watch his old game film, he's not impressive. Don't get me wrong, Tannehill is a better athlete than Kevin Kolb was, but does he sound like the next guy the Eagles should want at QB? Not to me. He kind of reminds me of that pick right now.

While we're at it, let me disqualify another guy I don't want: LB Luke Kuechly of Boston College. Kuechly can play, i'm not going to say he'll bust. The problem is, he's not what we need. Kuechly is a skill guy, but he's not overly big. He tackles well, and has a good football-IQ, but he's not the kind of big monster, freakish athlete you'd want for this defense.

My final guy I'm leaning against is Dontari Poe of Memphis. He is a freak of nature, being the biggest and fastest guy out there on the D-front. He also though, is another guy who doesn't impress in game film. I'm less against him than the first two, but he worries me a lot so high on the board.
